Rules
Start
KINGPONG is a gentleman's sport, and the players decide who starts the game. The loser from the previous game will always start next game.
Shots
2 shots per court half - if you play 2 against 2, you decide for yourself who throws. As long as only 2 shots are fired per player/team per round.
Elbow
If you have an official table, you can agree between the teams whether to use the edge of the table or the ELBOW LINE which is marked with a line on the table behind the cups.
Twin shot (2 balls in the same cup)
If you hit two balls in the same cup in the same round, the cup is removed and the opponent removes 2 more cups of their choice.
Day and night (2 different cups)
If you hit 2 different cups in the same round, both cups are removed and you get both balls back and can shoot again.
Blow
It is also not permitted to blow on a ball that is on its way into a cup in official matches. However, what you mutually agree to play with if you wish. If you inflate the ball before it has hit the water, it will not ignite like a hit cup.
Trick shot
No trick shots allowed in the official games. You can choose to play with it, but in an official game of KINGPONG it will always be without. However, a trick shot counts twice. So 2 cups are removed from the opponent's half.
Bounce
Bounce - when you let the ball bounce (the ball hits the table at least once and bounces into the opponent's cup) it will count as double, and the cup + one extra is removed. The opponent chooses which extra cup is removed.
Call back
The player(s) hitting all 6 cups first gives the balls back to the opponent that will have 2 more shots to try to hit the rest. If the team manages to also take the rest you will be playing sudden death.
Sudden death (SD) rules
If the match ends with both teams hitting 6 cups, one cup is moved back and you play here until the first one hits in. After this, the opponent will have 2 last attempts to hit regardless of who started the game. This continued until the last 2 balls are missed.
If you win a Sudden Death match, the match will end 7-6 or 11-10 depending on whether you play with 6 or 10 cups per player. team.
